It is one of my greatest joys to help guide families through the process of finding the best fit in senior living options for their loved ones, taking some of the stress and difficulty out of that journey. I am grateful for these clients who have shared their stories and experience.
I can’t say enough great things about the services provided by Margo Brooks. From my first call to her, she asked all the right questions about what my family wanted for my mom. Margo found us many choices but ultimately found a place for my mom located between myself and my sister. She called and checked on our family before the move and spent the entire day at the assisted living facility helping my mom organize her kitchen and taking her on walks to keep her calm. This is outstanding service from beginning to end! If you want someone who treats you like family, Margo is the one to go to.

I met Margo Brooks through a mutual friend, who knew it was time to meet with a good guide in finding my husband, Dan, a care home. I had only spoken with Margo on the phone a few times prior to needing to place him sooner than I had expected. I called her while sobbing from being totally overwhelmed with trying to keep Dan home with the aid of palliative care and in home aides to keep him clean. Margo said, “Hold on, I’ll be there in 15 minutes.” She came and found me needing to be hugged and calmed down. She sat us face to face on the side of the bed, and she asked what I needed her to do to help me. During our conversation she suggested placing Dan in a small group home where he would be cared for by the best house manager and aides anywhere. She called to see if there was an opening, and the answer was yes there is a room, but without a bed. I had already received a hospital bed donated from palliative care, so Margo arranged for her husband and daughter to come with his truck, and they all pitched in with my son and me to move Dan that afternoon to Glencairn House. She sat by my side during this emotional time, and I felt totally protected from all the unknowns. When it was time to leave him there, Margo and I walked outside together. I will never forget how when we faced each other, I looked up at her, and I saw a warm light surrounding her against the clear blue sky. We embraced in the warmth of the glow that I believe was the Holy Spirit enveloping us, which gave me instant clarity that I had made the right choice with Margo’s guidance. At that moment I felt as if we were the vessels filled with Margo’s gift of shepherding that directly guided Dan to his new home where his care would be proper for his stage in Alzheimer’s. Margo cares about the afflicted and their caregivers as if they are her own family. She has followed through and kept in contact with care and solutions for any of the bumps in the road along the way. Margo is and will always be special in our lives.

I cannot say enough positive things about Margo. She was the instrument that helped me move Glenn into a wonderful Senior Living. He desperately needed moving from the place he was living and into one that would properly care for him. She is knowledgeable, kind, caring and above all else, efficient. Thank you, you are an angel.

I'd been putting off making a decision about Mom’s housing for too long. She wasn't getting the quality services she needed at her current assisted living community. As for me, I didn't know where to look for housing that met her needs. I wasn't even sure what my priorities were, what the availability was, or the rates of assisted living and memory care in our housing market. I was about to call it quits when a friend suggested that I call Margo Brooks. Talking to Margo was like a breath of fresh air. Margo introduced me to Teresa’s House Argyle for assisted living and memory care. It is a beautiful facility that combines a full range of services that make me happy and a real home for mom. Thank you, Margo!

It’s hard to describe how grateful my family and I are for Margo and her services. In such a delicate time and not knowing what you don’t know, she handheld us through the entire process. She is extremely knowledgeable and loves what she does. She makes friends everywhere. Her dedication to ensuring we found the right spot for our parents was top-notch. We had some major curve balls, and she assisted in navigating all of it with ease. She’s responsive, does her research, and asks excellent questions. She set up all of the appointments and toured all of the places with us, and we went to A LOT. She’s an asset as an advocate for you and your parents. She keeps in touch and really keeps a beat on what’s going on in each facility to make sure they are maintaining the standards you were promised. I highly recommend utilizing Margo’s services. She is a wealth of knowledge and truly cares about finding the right place for each individual given their specific needs/wants, and we had a lot.

I am incredibly grateful to Margo for the exceptional care and support she provided in finding the perfect assisted-living community for my mother. From the very beginning, Margo took the time to understand our family's unique needs and preferences, showing genuine compassion and patience throughout the entire process. Margo presented us with multiple options, each carefully selected based on my mother's specific requirements. She also provided invaluable insights, helping us weigh the pros and cons of each facility. What truly stood out was her commitment to ensuring not just a suitable placement, but the best possible environment where my mother could thrive. Thanks to Margo’s dedication and expertise, we found a community that my mother will absolutely love. Knowing she is in a place where she feels comfortable, safe, and well-cared-for brings our family tremendous peace of mind. I highly recommend Margo to anyone navigating the challenging process of finding assisted living for a loved one. Her professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail are truly unmatched.

My husband is 85 and was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019. After a fall and broken hip in mid-January and dementia that followed, I realized that at some time I would need to place him in Assisted Living. I wanted to know where that would be sooner rather than later. I wanted the right place for him, not a place that I had to take at the last minute.

That is when I met Margo and what an answer to prayer she was for me. She listened to what I wanted, where I wanted it to be, and what I felt I could afford. In no time we spent many afternoons visiting all that was available. I did find the perfect place, thanks to Margo, and put our name on a waiting list.

Before a room became available I was ready. Margo checked with the facility every week and stayed in touch with me. When it became available we moved in and Margo was there to greet my husband.

She was not finished with us. She goes to see my husband anytime she is in the area and I receive a text from her about every other week or so asking how I am doing and if there is any way she can help me. She is a loving, concerned, compassionate person. She is also a Christion and not afraid to support you with her faith.

I thank God everyday for leading me to Margo. I have also recommended her to many friends that are in need. They have all been very happy with her help.

I cannot express enough how thankful I am for Margo’s help. She was so kind and listened to all of my mom’s needs and wants. She not only found the perfect place for my mom to call home, but she also negotiated the price to make it affordable for our family. On the day of move in, she met us there early and spent the day helping mom get settled in and feel at ease, and she continues to go often to visit and check in on how she is doing. My family is so grateful to Margo for EVERYTHING she has done for us. I highly recommend her to help alleviate the stress during a difficult decision.

We actually met Margo in 2018, when we were looking for an assisted living for our mom. She was doing hair for seniors back then, and we decided on that facility because of her. Her passion for loving & caring for seniors was so evident, and “hair day” was mom’s favorite day- just because she got to spend time with Margo! In April of this year, we were at a total loss as mom was now in need of memory care. Margo to the rescue!! She was just in the process of transitioning to this new position, and she found the perfect place for mom. She walked us through every step of the process, and even helped us with her on move in day. We all love her new place and appreciate how Margo still visits mom and calls us to check in on us! She is so well-connected in this industry, professional, goes way beyond the call of duty, compassionate, loving, honest and very resourceful. If you find yourself in need of help placing a loved one into Senior Living, please do them & yourself a favor and reach out to Margo Brooks! You’ll be thankful you did!!

From the first time I talked to Margo, I could tell she cared deeply about helping seniors find the best place to live based on their needs and budget. She helped me locate a place for my mom to live and held my hand through the whole process and went above and beyond to make the transition as smooth as possible for me and most importantly for my mom. Prior to moving, she helped me make sure we had all the documents we needed and answered my many questions. She was also a listening ear when I needed it. On move-in day, Margo came and helped my mom get to know the other residents at her new place while we were getting her belongings moved in and doing the paperwork. She even brought my mom her favorite coffee supplies to help her feel at home even quicker. My mom is doing well in her new home and a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders knowing she is getting the care she needs. Margo even stops by to visit my mom to check in and see how she’s doing then reports back to me. She gives you that extra personal touch in all that she does. For anyone looking for senior living options, I highly recommend Margo Brooks. Thank you, Margo!

Where do I start with Margo being the best recommendation ever sent to me when searching for an Assisted living! She called me immediately when I reached out to her by text about info on assisted living. She asked every question regarding needs for my mom. She took the time to set up the appointments to see the places and get to know my mom before I ever decided on a place. Margo has been like an extended family member to me during a difficult process for me. She even checked on my mom daily while I was on vacation. My mom and I absolutely adore her. Margo has a passion for what she does and it shows! Even after someone decides on a place and move in, she follows up on how things are going. She is the best and I will recommend her to anyone I know searching for their loved ones a new place to transition to! Thank you Margo!

After a stroke, it became evident that my mother could no longer live independently. The thought of researching nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, memory care facilities, home care, etc. was both terrifying and overwhelming. I reached out to my friend Margo, who now lives 4 hours away, to ask if she had a counterpart in Houston who could help me. Unfortunately, she did not, but she was willing to help from afar.

Not long after providing her with all the necessary information on my mom and her needs, Margo presented me with options that would best fit my mom. A few short days later Margo had tours scheduled. She answered all of my questions and calmed all my fears.

My mom is now living in a wonderful facility that provides her with enrichment, safety and caring providers. Margo truly is a blessing. There was no way I could’ve navigated this process without her.

Our mom went from being completely independent to needing a place to live during the holidays ASAP! Margo was invaluable in being able to assess our needs and direct our time/efforts to places that best met our requirements. She helped us with navigating all the things we needed to think about and be prepared for. She was awesome and I would highly recommend her.

Margo Brooks was a gift from God for me! She led me through the maze of decisions concerning the best home for my husband of sixty years! He had been hospitalized and then in a rehab hospital for about six weeks and was being released. I was still a bit undecided about whether I should bring him home to my care or find an assisted living situation for him.

Margo “talked me off the ledge” numerous times during our time together. Deep down, I knew I could no longer adequately care for Dick. I had been neglecting my health and was just not strong enough to help my six-foot-three guy! But I kept second-guessing my decisions, even though I knew what I needed to do. Margo visited Dick in the rehab hospital so she could assess his level of cognition and know him personally. She then made appointment after appointment, personally taking me to visit each home and get a feeling for the personality and level of care each home provided.

She knew the questions to ask, that I didn’t! -- What’s the nursing/resident ratio? What training do the care providers have? How often do residents get a bath? Who prepares the food and is it served in a dining room or in individual rooms? Is there entertainment? How often?

She also checked for any state infractions and how they were addressed. (I didn’t even know you could do that!) Dick is settled in the perfect place for him because of Margo’s determination and intervention. He had been denied admission to his current place because of his complicated nursing requirements. But Margo felt it was the best place for him and called the Nursing Director there and convinced her to take another look at his situation, arguing that it looked complicated but really wasn’t!!! And he was accepted!!

Margo was there on the day we set up Dick’s room; and she was there on Move-In Day. She referred us to Palliative Care. She has educated me about Hospice Care. She still follows up with me from time to time. She truly cares about her clients and their families. Being a Senior Living Advisor is not a job to Margo; it’s her calling. She takes her work very seriously and follows through on every level and every decision. Dick and I are truly blessed by Margo – she has become a friend!
